where are the spring showers

april 16 , so for half of the month we have had just a little rain... i thought there was to be april showers ... i think as in previous years those are turning into may showers with june flowers... but at least the weather is quite nice with mild temps some warmer days in the 70's but most in in the 50's and 60's , this is just what we like ...but since i was updating , if you have small container plants indoors you can bring them out side but don't forget to water them and some water on those newly seeded lawns if you have those as well as a bit of water on those new seeds directly sowed in the gardens ... i started some seeds and directly sowed some in the soils...

Those showers in April and making way for flowers in May. The spring has been a wonderful time in Chicago, with some warming days , cool evenings and just the right amount of rain. It seems we are slightly warmer than last year , even the Lake Michigan waters are warmer already. I hope this is not the sign to come all summer, but we could use a bit warmer weather than last year...then it would be typical... We are still cleaning and moving debris to compost piles so we can take advantage of free nutrients... here are some quick videos...enjoy
